My God, grant that —following the example of Blessed Álvaro— I may desire for all «the peace that comes from God, that Christ has brought to earth, the peace that the world cannot give. A peace that is the result of union with God in all our thoughts, words and works» (Blessed Álvaro).

Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, Queen of Peace, make me a bearer of Christ's peace to the hearts of all. May I live union with God in such a way that it can be said of me what is said of Blessed Álvaro: «He never lacked that frank smile, full of affection, which effectively communicated joy and peace.»
