Day 4 — Fatima: the vision of hell and the call to conversion

On July 13, 1917 the Virgin showed the children hell, "the souls of the poor sinners." Pierced, she asked: "Pray, pray much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because there is no one to pray and to make sacrifices for them." Devotion to the Immaculate Heart is the answer to that urgency: reparation that offers our small crosses for the salvation of others.

Prayer of the Day

Maternal Heart of Mary, pierced by the fate of sinners, grant that I may take the urgency of conversion seriously. Move my family and friends to pray and offer sacrifices for the salvation of many. Draw souls from hell by the intercession of your Immaculate Heart. Amen.

Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (for all days)

O Mary, worthy Mother of God and tender Mother of ours, who appearing at Fatima have shown us in your Heart a most sure refuge and in your Rosary a victorious weapon against the enemy of our souls, grant that loving you with filial love I may here find and enjoy the life of grace, and afterward the life of glory. O sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation.
