Our Lady of Carmel exercises her special protection at the hour of death for those who devoutly wear her holy Scapular, so that through true repentance they may leave this life in the grace of God.

Prayer of the Day

O Virgin of Carmel! I beg you, Lady, to assist, protect, and comfort me at the hour of my death, and obtain for me true repentance, perfect contrition for my sins, burning love of God, and ardent desire to see him, so that my soul may not be lost but may go safely to eternal glory. Amen.

Most Holy Virgin of Carmel, I desire that all may take shelter under the protecting shadow of your holy Scapular. O beauty of Carmel! Look upon us kneeling before your sacred image and grant us your loving protection. I commend to you the needs of the Pope, the Church, my nation, and the whole world. Look with compassion upon sinners, heretics, and unbelievers. May all be converted and love you, my Mother, as I wish to love you now and for all eternity. Amen.
