To mark the Carmelites as her special children, the Virgin enriched them with the singular gift of the holy Scapular, binding in it so many graces and favors for those who devoutly wear it and strive to live imitating her virtues.

Prayer of the Day

O Virgin of Carmel! I beg you, Lady, to obtain for me the grace to always live as a true Christian and loving confrater of the holy Scapular, so that I may deserve to obtain the fruits of this beautiful devotion. Amen.

Most Holy Virgin of Carmel, I desire that all may take shelter under the protecting shadow of your holy Scapular. O beauty of Carmel! Look upon us kneeling before your sacred image and grant us your loving protection. I commend to you the needs of the Pope, the Church, my nation, and the whole world. Look with compassion upon sinners, heretics, and unbelievers. May all be converted and love you, my Mother, as I wish to love you now and for all eternity. Amen.
