To show her special love for the Carmelites, the Virgin honored them with the sweet name of children and brothers of hers, encouraging their confidence to seek in her, as a loving Mother, the remedy, consolation, and refuge in all their needs.

Prayer of the Day

O Virgin of Carmel! I beg you, Lady, to look upon me as a loving Mother and obtain for me the grace to imitate you, so that I may worthily be called also your child, and my name be written in the book of the predestination of the children of God. Amen.

Most Holy Virgin of Carmel, I desire that all may take shelter under the protecting shadow of your holy Scapular. O beauty of Carmel! Look upon us kneeling before your sacred image and grant us your loving protection. I commend to you the needs of the Pope, the Church, my nation, and the whole world. Look with compassion upon sinners, heretics, and unbelievers. May all be converted and love you, my Mother, as I wish to love you now and for all eternity. Amen.
