Day 3 — Living temple of God

Meditation

The Carmelites were the first to build a temple on Mount Carmel in honor of Mary, where they gathered fervently to worship and praise her. She obtains for us the grace to be living temples of the majesty of God, adorned with virtues, where He may dwell loved and adored by us.

Prayer of the Day

O Virgin of Carmel! I beg you, Lady, to obtain that my soul may be a living temple of the majesty of God, adorned with all virtues, where He may always dwell loved, adored, and praised by me, without ever being occupied by disordered affections for earthly things. Amen.

Most Holy Virgin of Carmel, I desire that all may take shelter under the protecting shadow of your holy Scapular. O beauty of Carmel! Look upon us kneeling before your sacred image and grant us your loving protection. I commend to you the needs of the Pope, the Church, my nation, and the whole world. Look with compassion upon sinners, heretics, and unbelievers. May all be converted and love you, my Mother, as I wish to love you now and for all eternity. Amen.
