By her singular love for the Carmelites, the Virgin favored them with her familiar company and sweet conversations, enlightening them with the light of her teaching. She assists us with special protection so that we may know the infinite goodness of God and love him with all our soul.

Prayer of the Day

O Virgin of Carmel! I beg you, Lady, to assist me with your special protection, obtaining for me from your Son Jesus light to know his infinite goodness and to love him with all my soul, to know my faults and weep for them, and so that my conduct and conversation may always be for his greater honor and the edification of my neighbor. Amen.

Most Holy Virgin of Carmel, I desire that all may take shelter under the protecting shadow of your holy Scapular. O beauty of Carmel! Look upon us kneeling before your sacred image and grant us your loving protection. I commend to you the needs of the Pope, the Church, my nation, and the whole world. Look with compassion upon sinners, heretics, and unbelievers. May all be converted and love you, my Mother, as I wish to love you now and for all eternity. Amen.
