Day 7 — The miraculous tilma

The tilma of Juan Diego, a simple cloth of maguey fiber, has endured for more than four hundred years, defying all natural explanation. The image imprinted on it was not painted by human hand. It is a lasting sign of Mary's loving presence among us.

Mother of Guadalupe, whose image remains as a sign of your presence, remain also in my heart and in the heart of my family. May your image always remind us of your love. Amen.

O Immaculate Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the true God and our Mother, you who showed your clemency and compassion to all who come to you, hear the supplications we offer you in this novena. As you imprinted your image on the tilma of Juan Diego, imprint your love on our hearts. Cover us with your maternal mantle and lead us always to your Son Jesus. Amen.
