Our Lady of Guadalupe presented herself as mother of all the inhabitants of these lands, especially of the poorest, the suffering, and the needy. Her mestizo face is a sign that God embraces all peoples and cultures without distinction.

Prayer of the Day

Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the poor and the forsaken, intercede for those who suffer most in our world. Comfort the afflicted and give hope to the despairing. Amen.

O Immaculate Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the true God and our Mother, you who showed your clemency and compassion to all who come to you, hear the supplications we offer you in this novena. As you imprinted your image on the tilma of Juan Diego, imprint your love on our hearts. Cover us with your maternal mantle and lead us always to your Son Jesus. Amen.
