Day 4 — The miracle of the roses

Reading

The Virgin asked Juan Diego to gather roses on the summit of the hill of Tepeyac, in the dead of winter. When he opened his tilma before the bishop, the roses fell and the image of the Virgin appeared imprinted upon it. God confirms with signs the truth of his message.

Prayer of the Day

Mother of Guadalupe, you who made roses bloom in winter, make faith, hope, and love blossom in my heart, even in the hardest moments of my life. Amen.

O Immaculate Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the true God and our Mother, you who showed your clemency and compassion to all who come to you, hear the supplications we offer you in this novena. As you imprinted your image on the tilma of Juan Diego, imprint your love on our hearts. Cover us with your maternal mantle and lead us always to your Son Jesus. Amen.
