Give me, Lord, the affability, understanding and patience that Blessed Álvaro habitually practiced, which attracted all who knew him, filling their hearts with peace.

Grant me the grace to remain serene and overcome anger, if someone displeases me, contradicts me or harms me; and the grace to be patient when things I have worked hard on are delayed or do not go as I wished.
