Day 7 — The miraculous rose

Reading

While ill on her deathbed, Rita asked a visitor to bring her a rose from her garden. It was winter, yet the visitor found a rose in bloom. This miracle of the rose has become a symbol of Saint Rita's intercession: where it seems impossible for anything to bloom, God makes hope spring forth.

Prayer of the Day

Saint Rita, of the miraculous rose, make hope blossom in my life. Where all seems barren, may God's grace bear abundant fruit. Amen.

Final Prayer (for all days)

O glorious Saint Rita, who knew how to accept in love the hardest trials of life and who always found in God the strength to go forward, intercede for me before the Lord. You who are the advocate of impossible causes, present my cause before the throne of God and obtain for me the grace I ask, if it be in conformity with the divine will. May your example of faith, patience, and forgiveness inspire me to live as a true Christian. Amen.
