Day 6 — Saint Rita, advocate of the impossible

Reading

Saint Rita is invoked as advocate of impossible causes because her whole life was a series of impossibilities made reality by God's grace: her husband's conversion, her entrance to the convent, the thorn of the Passion. Her life shows that nothing is impossible for God.

Prayer of the Day

Saint Rita, advocate of the impossible, I place before you this cause that seems to have no solution. I trust that God, through your intercession, will make possible what is humanly impossible. Amen.

Final Prayer (for all days)

O glorious Saint Rita, who knew how to accept in love the hardest trials of life and who always found in God the strength to go forward, intercede for me before the Lord. You who are the advocate of impossible causes, present my cause before the throne of God and obtain for me the grace I ask, if it be in conformity with the divine will. May your example of faith, patience, and forgiveness inspire me to live as a true Christian. Amen.
