Day 9 — The Blood that leads us to heaven

Reading

«We have a great High Priest, Jesus, who has passed through the heavens with his own blood and is always living to intercede for those who come to God» (Hebrews 4:14; 7:25). Jesus is in heaven presenting his Blood to the Father and saying: «I will that where I am, they also may be with me.» Our destiny is Heaven, which is not for weak souls but for the greatest spirits.

Prayer of the Day

Lord Jesus Christ, author, guide, and perfecter of faith, who goes before those who journey to the homeland, make me faithfully follow your footsteps to obtain that Heaven which you have promised and prepared for me. Amen.

Opening Prayer (for all days)

Christ Jesus, Lamb of God, who has saved us by your Blood, we praise you, we bless you, we adore you, and we give you heartfelt thanks. By the merits of your Most Precious Blood, I ask for the salvation of all who have washed themselves in it. Grant me the special grace I desire in this novena, if it be for your greater glory and the good of my soul. Amen.
