Day 6 — The Blood that cries for forgiveness

Reading

«You have come to Jesus, who sprinkled us with a Blood that speaks more eloquently than that of Abel» (Hebrews 12:24). Abel's blood cried for vengeance; Christ's Blood cries: «Father, forgive them.» His Blood gives us peace with God and tears down every wall that divides us. Can I drink Christ's Blood if I do not truly forgive?

Prayer of the Day

Lord Jesus Christ, who commands us to forgive generously even our worst enemy, infuse in me your own love so that, loving all without distinction, I may merit your forgiveness and grace. Amen.

Opening Prayer (for all days)

Christ Jesus, Lamb of God, who has saved us by your Blood, we praise you, we bless you, we adore you, and we give you heartfelt thanks. By the merits of your Most Precious Blood, I ask for the salvation of all who have washed themselves in it. Grant me the special grace I desire in this novena, if it be for your greater glory and the good of my soul. Amen.
