Day 2 — The Blood that opens heaven

Reading

«We have confidence to enter the sanctuary of heaven by the Blood of Jesus» (Hebrews 10:19). I reach heaven through the merits of Christ's Blood. To these I join my effort to respond with my works. My life must be worthy of the Blood that purchased me. I trust that Jesus and I together can do all things.

Prayer of the Day

O God, who has redeemed us with the precious Blood of your Son, preserve in me the work of your mercy so that I may obtain its eternal fruits. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Opening Prayer (for all days)

Christ Jesus, Lamb of God, who has saved us by your Blood, we praise you, we bless you, we adore you, and we give you heartfelt thanks. By the merits of your Most Precious Blood, I ask for the salvation of all who have washed themselves in it. Grant me the special grace I desire in this novena, if it be for your greater glory and the good of my soul. Amen.
