Day 1 — The Blood that cleanses sin

Reading

«Blessed are those who wash their robes in the Blood of the Lamb!» (Revelation 22:14). Sin brings separation from God and eternal condemnation. But God offers us forgiveness in Christ. If I have sinned, there is no room for despair, for I have a Savior who paid for me. I trust in the Blood of Christ, which has cleansed me from every stain.

Prayer of the Day

O God, who asks for the love of our heart, grant me the grace to live always in love for Jesus and to obtain through his Blood my eternal salvation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Opening Prayer (for all days)

Christ Jesus, Lamb of God, who has saved us by your Blood, we praise you, we bless you, we adore you, and we give you heartfelt thanks. By the merits of your Most Precious Blood, I ask for the salvation of all who have washed themselves in it. Grant me the special grace I desire in this novena, if it be for your greater glory and the good of my soul. Amen.
