Day 4 — Angel of the presence of God

Reading

"I send an angel before you" (Exodus 32:34; 33:2). The angels, together with Michael, unceasingly behold the face of the Father (cf. Matthew 18:10). Saint Michael, in the very presence of God, receives the commission to lead and guard the people of the Covenant.

Prayer of the Day

Saint Michael the Archangel, who stand before the Most High, present my prayers and my needs before God. Make me, too, live ever in the presence of God, conscious of his loving gaze. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel (for all days)

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
