Day 5 — The Letter of Saint Jude

Saint Jude Thaddeus wrote a letter included in the New Testament, in which he exhorts the faithful to contend for the faith once delivered and to stand firm against false teaching. His words remain timely: "Keep yourselves in the love of God" (Jude 1:21).

Prayer of the Day

Saint Jude Thaddeus, defender of the true faith, protect me from all error and confusion. Keep my faith firm and alive, and help me to grow in the love of God. Amen.

O glorious apostle Saint Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you as patron of difficult and desperate cases. Pray for me, who am so miserable. I beg you, make use of that special privilege granted to you to bring visible and speedy help when almost all hope is lost. Come to my aid in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and help of heaven in all my tribulations and anguish. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
