Day 4 — Saint Jude, preacher of the Gospel

Reading

After Pentecost, Saint Jude preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Mesopotamia, and Persia. His apostolic zeal led countless souls to faith in Christ. He teaches us that faith is not kept to oneself but shared with courage.

Prayer of the Day

Saint Jude Thaddeus, courageous preacher of the Gospel, give me the courage to profess my faith fearlessly and to share the love of Christ with all around me. Amen.

O glorious apostle Saint Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you as patron of difficult and desperate cases. Pray for me, who am so miserable. I beg you, make use of that special privilege granted to you to bring visible and speedy help when almost all hope is lost. Come to my aid in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and help of heaven in all my tribulations and anguish. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
