Day 3 — Saint Jude, kinsman of Jesus

Saint Jude was a cousin of Jesus, son of Cleopas and Mary. He grew up close to the Savior and was a privileged witness of his life and teaching. This closeness to Christ gives his intercession for us a special efficacy.

Prayer of the Day

Saint Jude Thaddeus, close kinsman of our Lord, by your intimacy with Jesus obtain for me the graces I need. May your nearness to the Savior be my comfort and hope. Amen.

O glorious apostle Saint Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you as patron of difficult and desperate cases. Pray for me, who am so miserable. I beg you, make use of that special privilege granted to you to bring visible and speedy help when almost all hope is lost. Come to my aid in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and help of heaven in all my tribulations and anguish. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
