Meditation

The infinite love God planted in the heart of Saint Expeditus made him prefer death to betraying Christ. Charity is the virtue that orders the whole being toward God and, through Him, toward one's neighbor. Where worldly attachment rules, love grows cold; where self-giving rules, love burns and bestows itself.

Prayer of the Day

O glorious martyr Saint Expeditus, by the infinite love the Lord planted in your heart, remove from me all worldly attachment, that I may love God alone for all eternity. You who gave your life for Christ, teach me to place the love of God above all things. Amen.

O Jesus Christ, protect us today and always, but especially today. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you. Saint Expeditus, glorious martyr and patron of just and urgent causes, pray for us.
