Day 9 — The name written in the Heart and the nine First Fridays

Eleventh and twelfth promises: "Those who propagate this devotion will have their name written in my Heart, and it will never be erased" and "I promise you, in the excess of my mercy, that my all-powerful love will grant the grace of final penitence to all who communicate on the first Friday of nine consecutive months; they shall not die in my displeasure, nor without receiving the sacraments." The grace of the nine First Fridays unites propagation and perseverance: to love, to spread, and to receive Communion with devotion is the sure path to the Heart of Jesus.

Prayer of the Day

Sacred Heart of Jesus, write my name indelibly in your Heart. I entrust to you my life and my final perseverance. Through the nine First Fridays, grant me the grace of penitence at the end of my days, the holy sacraments, and eternal blessedness. Amen.

Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (for all days)

O most loving Heart of Jesus! I offer you my prayers, my works, and my sufferings, those of this day and all the days of my life, to do all that pleases you, to repair the offenses committed against you, and to beg for the conversion of sinners. Join them to the infinite merits of your Passion, that they may reach the heavenly Father and lift up supplications for the whole world. Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.
