Day 6 — Mercy for sinners

Sixth and seventh promises: "Sinners will find in my Heart an ocean of infinite mercy" and "the lukewarm will become fervent." The Heart of Jesus is a fountain of conversion: he does not reject the one who returns, but receives him as the father receives the prodigal son. For the lukewarm, a single look of love suffices to rekindle quenched fervor. Only draw near with trust.

Prayer of the Day

Merciful Heart of Jesus, infinite ocean of pity, have mercy on me, a sinner. Kindle in my lukewarmness the fire of your love, and move sinners to return to you, that none be lost through despair. Amen.

Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (for all days)

O most loving Heart of Jesus! I offer you my prayers, my works, and my sufferings, those of this day and all the days of my life, to do all that pleases you, to repair the offenses committed against you, and to beg for the conversion of sinners. Join them to the infinite merits of your Passion, that they may reach the heavenly Father and lift up supplications for the whole world. Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.
