Day 3 — Peace in families

Meditation

Second promise: "I will establish peace in their families." The Sacred Heart offers himself as arbiter of Christian homes. Where his Heart is honored, charity conquers selfishness, forgiveness removes the root of grudges, and common prayer builds up. The peace the world promises rests on agreements; the peace of the Heart of Jesus, on hearts reconciled by the love of Christ.

Prayer of the Day

Heart of Jesus, king of peace, bless my family and establish in it your peace. May we learn to forgive one another, to pray together, and to place love above every discord. May your Heart be the center of our home. Amen.

Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (for all days)

O most loving Heart of Jesus! I offer you my prayers, my works, and my sufferings, those of this day and all the days of my life, to do all that pleases you, to repair the offenses committed against you, and to beg for the conversion of sinners. Join them to the infinite merits of your Passion, that they may reach the heavenly Father and lift up supplications for the whole world. Heart of Jesus, I trust in you.
