I ask You, my God, for that strength and peace which Blessed Álvaro —with the help of Your grace— always manifested before persecutions, slanderous campaigns and malicious insinuations, because of his fidelity to the Church.

Help me to understand «why the saints appear full of peace, even in the midst of pain, dishonor, poverty, and persecutions. The answer is clear: because they seek to identify themselves with the Will of the Father in Heaven, imitating Christ.»
