Day 8 — Conversion of sinners and Russia

Meditation

On that same July 13 the Virgin promised: "In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph; the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world." The promise looks to a horizon larger than individual problems: the triumph of Mary's Heart is the return of many hearts to God. Our contribution is the conversion of our own heart, before the world's.

Prayer of the Day

Immaculate Heart of Mary, who promised the triumph of your Heart and a time of peace for the world, grant me that you triumph first of all in my heart. Convert sinners, and grant the Church's shepherds fidelity to God. Amen.

O Mary, worthy Mother of God and tender Mother of ours, who appearing at Fatima have shown us in your Heart a most sure refuge and in your Rosary a victorious weapon against the enemy of our souls, grant that loving you with filial love I may here find and enjoy the life of grace, and afterward the life of glory. O sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation.
