Passover is the festival of freedom. It commemorates the departure from Egypt with the Seder, matzah, and the prohibition of chametz. It is the most observed Jewish holiday.

The central story of Judaism. God liberated Israel from Pharaoh's slavery with a strong hand and an outstretched arm.

The Seder

On the night of the 15th of Nissan, the Jewish family celebrates the Seder: a 15-step ritual including kadesh (kiddush), maggid (storytelling), matzah, maror, and dayenu.

Prohibitions

No eating chametz (leaven) for 7 days. Thoroughly cleaning the entire house before Passover.
